Missions:

The Pasteur Hearing Institute seeks to recruit a new research group to reinforce its program on fundamental auditory and cognitive neuroscience and translational approaches to human hearing disorders. We are looking for outstanding applicants from various backgrounds, with proven ability to collaborate, and eager to move forward our understanding of hearing in health and disease. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Auditory processing from the periphery to the cortex
  • Artificial intelligence, (neuro)computational methods, and brain machine interfaces applied to auditory perception and cognition
  • Innovative approaches for diagnosis, prevention, rehabilitation or treatment of auditory disorders

Successful applicants will join the newly established Hearing Institute located in the heart of Paris, and the vibrant interdisciplinary community of the Institut Pasteur.

Depending on their prior experience, the selected candidate will be appointed with a tenure track position to lead a group of up to 6 (G5 Track) or up to 8 people (G5+ Track). The group will be established  for an initial period of 5 year term, with the option to subsequently apply for a 10-year full research group (U10).

An attractive start-up package matching the experience of the candidate will be provided, including institutional salaries (principal investigator, engineer, postdoc), a substantial contribution to running costs and equipment, access to on campus state-of-the-art technology core facilities, as well as support for relocation expenses and administrative issues. The new group will also receive full support of the Institut Pasteur grant office to compete for national and international funding opportunities.
