Post-doc in Evolution of brain development in cavefish, Paris-Saclay Institute of Neuroscience (https://neuropsi.cnrs.fr/).
The candidate will contribute to research projects supported by an Equipe FRM grant entitled «Neurogenetics of the blind cavefish, Astyanax mexicanus». The candidate will work in the team "Development and Evolution of the Forebrain" headed by Sylvie Rétaux, at the Paris-Saclay Institute of Neuroscience (Neuro-PSI) on the campus of Saclay (25km south of Paris). His/her central project will be to develop and perform comparative scRNA-Seq and functional analyses on Astyanax cavefish and surface fish.
We are seeking candidatures of highly motivated individuals, preferably with background in fish developmental biology and experience in scRNA-Seq. Interest for evo-devo will be a plus.
