The project is funded by the Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale (FRM) and the Fondation Plan Alzheimer, and aims to study the contribution of vascular/metabolic dysfunctions in a mouse model of Alzheimer Disease.
The team has used tools for the study of brain energy metabolism in mice, including viral vectors, FRET sensors and 3D imaging (see Le Douce et al., Cell Metabolism, 2020).
We will focus on the underexplored contribution of glial glycolysis in early synaptic deficits and memory impairment in AD.
It is a collaborative project with the team of Serge Charpak, at the Institut de la Vision (Paris), who will develop innovative imaging tools to probe brain vascular and neuronal dynamics.
The ideal candidate should have a PhD in Neuroscience.
Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience in brain energy metabolism.
The position is available from June 1, 2020.
Salary will depend on experience and qualification.
