in the Team “Cellular therapies in brain disease”
(Dr. Afsaneh Gaillard , Experimental and Clinical Neurosciences Laboratory, Poitiers, France)
Our research program focuses on repair of damaged adult central nervous system by cell replacement therapies. We are mostly interested in the lesions targeting the cortex after traumatic lesion and the brain lesions observed in the Parkinson's disease (Gaillard et al., Nature Neuroscience, 2007; Gaillard et al. Neurobiol. Dis. 2009; Espuny-Camacho et al., Neuron 2013; Michelsen et al., Neuron, 2015, Péron et al., J Neurosci. 2017).
We are recruiting a PhD student for 3 years in the Experimental and Clinical Neurosciences Laboratory, Poitiers, France. This position is funded by Inserm and the Nouvelle Aquitaine region, the main objective of the project is to study the neuroanatomical and functional integration of transplanted human induced pluripotent stem cells derived cortical neurons in animal models of traumatic brain injury.
A master degree in neuroscience with high rating is requested.
