The purpose of the project is to characterize the retinal phenotype of rodent models of neurodegenerative diseases to develop therapeutic strategies. The post-doc will perform in vivo imaging, in vivo electrophysiology, histology of the retinal tissue. Depending on selected animal models, gene therapy or pharmacological agents will be administered to the animals to reduce the progression of the neurodegenerative disease. He/She will work with the phenotyping platform providing expertise and technical support for all the analyses.
The ideal candidate should have an expertise in animal experimentation.
Interested candidates should contact Christine Hamayon, with a CV, including a list of publications, short paragraph about what they have worked on so far and why they are interested in this project and 2-3 names who can be contacted for references.
