POST-DOCTORAL POSITION AVAILABLE : INSERM U1077 UNIT, CAEN, FRANCE
One postdoctoral position in the INSERM U1077 laboratory, in Caen, France, in the
“Neuropsychology and Neuroimaging of Alzheimer’s Disease and Music” team, is available. The
candidate will be expected to analyze already acquired behavioural, structural and functional MRI
data on preserved implicit learning abilities of severe amnesic Alzheimer’s patients.
The candidate will be part of a research team directed by Francis Eustache and Béatrice
Desgranges, at the University of Caen Normandy and located at the Cyceron PET/MRI Center.
You will join a large multidisciplinary team (including scientists, engineers, doctors,
psychologists, technicians, and PhD students) researching the neural mechanisms of human
memory and its disorders using neuropsychological and neuroimaging techniques, including MRI
(3T) and FDG-PET. This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-quality research
environment, with significant interdisciplinary scientific collaborations and clinical applications.
Applicants must have a PhD in a relevant area of neuroscience, demonstrate skills and good
experience in processing functional MRI data (Multivariate pattern analysis of fMRI data), and
have knowledge in Statistical Parametric Mapping. Additional knowledge in neuropsychology
and programming (MATLAB, C++) are strongly preferred. Essential to this post are good
communication skills and an interest in multidisciplinary teamwork.
Salary: around 2000 euros / month (net)
Duration: one year, starting in January 2018
