Post-doctornat Position - CRNL (INSERM U1028)
The Lyon’ Neuroscience Research Center (Brain Dynamics and Cognition team - DYCOG - and TIGER team) and the Department of Functional Neurology and Epileptology of the Lyon’ University Hospital are launching a long-term project to study single-neuron activity in patients investigated with intracranial electrodes during presurgical evaluation of drug-resistant focal epilepsy. We will use this innovative approach to study in vivo in Humans both cognitive functions and the organization of epileptic networks
We are looking for a highly motivated post-doctoral fellow to join our effort to optimize the recording set-up and perform the first recordings.
The candidate should have a PhD in neuroscience with a strong experience in electrophysiological recording and analyzing single/multi-unit activity in animals (or ideally in humans).
S/he should express a strong interest in understanding the neural mechanisms supporting human cognition and/or epilepsy. Interest in basic electrophysiology electronics will be a plus.
This is a full-time position, immediately available, for a maximal duration of 1 year, with gross salary around 2300 euros/month according to the experience of the candidate.
For administrative reasons related to the funding source (CESAME IHU Institute), the end of this position position should not exceed June 30th, 2017, at the latest. Depending on the outcome, the motivation and the career plan of the candidate, opportunities to prolonge the position after june 2017 on other fundings could be considered.
