DANDRITE invites applications for Group Leader positions in Neuroscience
The Danish Research Institute of Translational Neuroscience – DANDRITE is the Danish node of the Nordic EMBL Partnership for Molecular Medicine. We invite outstanding candidates to apply for well-funded positions as Group Leader in neuroscience with an initial 5-year appointment and the opportunity for a 4-year extension following the EMBL model.
We seek Group Leaders to establish an independent research programme at international level within the fields of molecular, cellular, and translational neuroscience. For this call, we encourage applications from candidates with programmes in brain development and neurodevelopmental disorders of the nervous system. New Group Leaders are expected to introduce new topics and tools and strengthen synergies with ongoing DANDRITE research activities.
Group leader positions come with an attractive start-up package of EUR 1.6M for the first five years, access to state-of-the-art facilities and infrastructure, association to EMBL, affiliation with AIAS – the Aarhus Institute for Advanced Studies, and ample opportunities to engage with an inspiring interdisciplinary, international research community. Clinical research units are available for collaborations at the top-ranked Aarhus University Hospital further, biotech support structures and start-ups are available in a growing biotech ecosystem in the Aarhus area.
New Group Leaders enter a mentorship scheme for both local and international scientific mentoring, and teaching, leadership, and other transferable skills can be developed. Alongside, the Group Leaders receive extensive support from the DANDRITE Support team which provides the framework needed for GLs to focus on their research.
