TEXTE DE L'OFFRE

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated postdoc to join the Drosophila Neurogenetics team, headed by Daniel Vasiliauskas, at the Paris-Saclay Institute of Neuroscience (NeuroPSI). Drosophila retina contains four types of colour photoreceptor neurons that differ in their spectral sensitivities. Our lab investigates how these type identities are acquired during development and how they are maintained post-developmentally, in the aging adults. We discovered that natural genetic variants affecting photoreceptor identity phenotypes are surprisingly frequent. Our funded scientific program is based on using these variants as genetic entry points to address questions about colour photoreceptor differentiation and maintenance.
