The team « Pathophysiology of Motivation » at the Grenoble Institute of Neuroscience - Inserm U1216 in the French Alpes, is seeking for a highly motivated young researcher for a 2-years postdoctoral contract to work on the ANR-funded project "Dissection of molecular and neural circuits underlying impulse control disorders: A translational approach". The objective will be to investigate the potential implication of mTORC1 in a specific sub-neuronal population, in impulsive behaviors, by combining mainly: behavioral evaluation of impulsivity in rats, in vivo conditional knock-down strategies and immunofluorescence. Expected background and skills: animal behavior (expertise in instrumental behaviors will be a plus); stereotaxic surgery and classical integrative neuroscience-related methods such as neuroanatomy, histology... (experience with opto- or chemo-genetic will be a plus); classical molecular and cellular biology technics (RT-/PCR, western blot, immunohistochemistry); energy and happiness is mandatory!
